Well, I am going to get a spare for my Roadster, one way or another.

I can buy one from Nissan Parts Department for $603.64 plus tax, then I'll have to buy a jack and jack handle. Nissan wants $217.00 for their jack. Seems like allot of money for a simple scissors jack, but I want everything to fit into the tool holders for secure holding of everything.

IF I can find everything after market, and it they are the same fit as the stock Nissan, and the savings is considerable, then I'll go that route. If I can't, then I'll go ahead and order the Nissan set up. It seems like more expense than it should be, but if I am ever in a situation where I need that spare, the initial expense won't seem to be too costly then.

If this were just some car, then I wouldn't mind so much, but I do not want to be in a situation where my only option is to have someone tow my Z, or even flat bed it. Both situations take an expert hand at doing on a car like the Z.

I can imagine how I would be feeling, standing there at 3:00 in the morning in the middle of nowhere, watching some tow guy trying to figure out how to hook up to my Z, or likewise with a flatbed, wishing I had parted with the $900.00 and bought myself a spare when I had the chance.

The way I feel about my Z, and sense of responsibility for a passenger, if spending $900.00 only makes me sleep better, knowing I am able to take care of myself, then that's worth it right there. Peace of mind has value too. Plus, I'd still have the plug kit, air compressor, and the fixaflat.

If any of you have any suggestions, send them my way. If not, I'll let you all know how I end up with this. Thanks.
