Yea, you could leave it an open dif, seeing as you don't plan on tracking your car or doing anything too crazy.
But, if you want to upgrade, I'd still say an aftermarket one is the way to go. Like someone above me said, look into Carbonetic.
There is the warranty issue as well, seeing as a stock one installed by Nissan would be covered. I could care less about warranty, but it is something to consider.
