prep is improtant, but more for cleanliness. All things considered, I still prefer freshly blasted wheels myself, but most people don't want to pay the extra 40 per wheel that I have to pay the blasting shop, so I usually don't do that. I actually wetsand the original finish with a sanding block and soapy water to prep them.

There is a chance the others may do it to. Since they are using a conveyer system, it seems like it would be logical that they all went into the oven one after another and cured for the same amount of time.

They need to cure for a minimum of 20 minutes after the metal comes up to the 400 degree temperature, so for a wheel, its typically about an hour and a half that I have them in the oven.
