They've become instant classics BECAUSE they have nothing to do with chocolate (except that both ads use the Cadbury purply/blue colour), because they're simple and unexpected ...and because they are quite 'off the wall'.
I didn't post the Gorilla ad because for me the sound and visuals were slightly out of sync - but it was the first of the two to be broadcast.
It will be interesting to see if the creative who thought of them can come up with a 3rd advert that is as successful as the first two. He's made really successful ads for other companies too - eg Sony Bravia (rabbits).
