I agree with you 100%. I'll share a story.

After the 2nd snowfall, for some weird reason, City ONLY plowed main roads (popular roads). Which means, all the other roads had thick unplowed slushy snow. Now during night time, the temp dropped to 17 degrees F (yes that's 15 degrees below freezing! ). What happens to the wonderful 2" thick slush? They become hard solid ice. I kid you not, if any Z owner here were to look at those streets, they would simply turn around and go back with a face. Thanks to the blizzaks, I was able to drive without any issue. Sometimes I couldn't even believe what I was really driving on. I wasn't even sure how I was getting traction. Money well spent.
I had the same experience. No problems at all, but I felt like 'Mater in Cars when he was "The first on the new road"!
