I'm not sure how we'd design it just yet. There are two concepts right now that we're kicking around. One would have two vents in the rear corners which would work to get heat out of the very rear most area of the car.
The other option that we would be looking at would have one large vent in the front which helps pull hot air off of the radiator and also increases downforce on the front end. My only concern with this option is the limited space in the front of the engine bay...I'm not sure that we could have a large enough opening for this design to be optimal.

I like the cowl near the front idea better. For heat out back maybe you should do fenders with vents too
.
Definitely a fan of pre-preg carbon fiber done in an autoclave. Glad you are looking at that route instead of the wet lay resin. I'd love to see the vent designs like you did with the fascia first. It's gotta look cool too!
By the way one thing I loved about my TRD hood on my Supra was the under panels you could bolt on in case it rained. For that price range I think details like that should be covered. I don't think I've ever seen any aftermarket hood (other than TRD) that does that and I could never understand why. It's such a good idea.
