As far as I can tell from the little bit I've pushed the car with VDC off, any hard throttle exiting a turn will make the back break free. VDC will stay on unless I have a couple football fields worth of empty road around me! This car is damn powerful and I will admit down right scary if it breaks loose and you aren't ready. It must be respected as such!
