It's a company that owns (goes out and buys) many automotive, travel, real state, shopping etc online forums. Their main interest is the member database. Basically once they take over a site, they will fill it with advertisements, those annoying pop up texts (intellitext), increased fees etc.
Op I'm truly sorry that you were banned unreasonably. This is why I always tell people that
a moderator represents the site. If you choose the wrong ones, they can take a site down pretty quickly.
Since I REALLY don't like discussing stuff from other sites, I'm closing this thread. The reason I don't allow this is to prevent any flame wars between forums
