How clean and flat were your cuts?
How much tension was on the hose where it failed?
The hose popped off the fitting, no tears. When I pulled the undertray off the car, the hose was hanging away from its I made a completely clean cut and it was flush into the small aluminum coverlette.

The tension on the hose was minimal. I had the hoses ziptied together so they would track next to each other, but there was plenty of wiggle and flex room. To be specific, each hose can be pushed 1 inch in either direction yet are still held by zip ties to keep them in place. I do have the hoses wrapped in a leftover hose on the parts that might touch other areas of the vehicle so there are no worn areas that may cause a problem.

Its only been a day, but I've yet to hear from Aeroquip or Eaton.
