Kind of like when you first start your engine and it is cold out, your rpms are at a higher range to get the engine warm. I dont think unless it is very very cold year round this will be an issue. Oil coolers are good not bad. I guess if it was a problem you could find a way to regulate the temp and make the oil system bypass the cooler. Cold oil is almost as bad as super hot oil. The ideal point is to keep a consistant range of temps for the oil. Look at a supercharger, they make the engine work harder and so does a altanator but they are not discarded for this reason.
