I can't be bothered with reading the other responses, but I don't think driving a stick is any easier/harder in one car versus another. I've driven a lot of manuals in cars, and they are all pretty much the same. Some have more "slop" to allow for error, but I wouldn't call that easier to drive per se. Only thing that was somewhat tricky was driving an old full size uhaul.
As for learning to drive stick, it would be nice if you had a buddy with a junker you could practice on; but I learned on a car I had just bought and never did grind the gears. Stalled out a couple times though
