if you are really trying to save a lil weight then I may have a couple solutions for you. JBL makes a great shallow sub that is lightweight and in a Z's cramped interior would give big bass sound @ 1/2 weight reduction. Check out the JBL W0V-2. It runs about $110 and gives $350 sound. You can also go to a custom shop and get a fiberglass box made. That would keep the whole unit under 40lbs. Or you can go with a pre-made unit. @36lbs and the best compact bass package for the money is the Infinity basslink 2. Its the sub and amp all in one. Rates @ 250rms watts of bass. And at 36lbs you just put 2hp back in your car.
I would consider replacing your head unit with a lighter unit as well.
