Yeh its eight years too late, but I saw the Pilot episode of the Loan Gunman last night,

Yes its was an X Files Spin off series, the pilot episode was aired March 2001 and contained the plot of the government using remote flight control to crash a civilian plane into the WTC Tower and bame it on terrorists.

Apparently the episode was run in Australia two weeks before 911.
