I was probably in the shower when you did.

I have about 12K-14K (depending on when I start) to play with. Maybe more if I stop spending so much (lol). I plan to start in a month or so. I'm in the middle of helping my friend finish his Corvette, and once we're done with his car, it's my turn! Here's my original plan/budget:

$800 for the VH45
$300 for the transmission adapter plate.
$1800 for new 98 spec transmission (Mine is the one with soft syncros)
$1500 for two new GT28 turbos
$3000 for a N/A Z32 donor (N/A cars are MUCH better donors.)
$2000 for intake and exhaust piping work from a guy I know that will hook me up.
$300 for front mount intercooler.
$400 for good boost controller.
$600 for Wideband, boost, and fuel pressure gauges + gauge pod
$1000 for custom K-member, oil pan, and mounts (I have a friend that does this stuff.)

I'm sure there's going to be a LOT of misc little costs here and there... So I figure 12K is a good round number to start with. A lot of these costs will be lower than I'm pricing out here because my friends get discounts and I'm using high prices to start.

I figure if you subtract the transmission, motor and adapter plate. I'm looking at nearly $3K saved there. Then I'd have maybe another 1-2K for more added to the budget if I want to use the VQ37... But it'd need to have a 6-speed attached to it. That's a must.
