Sorry about the damage to your Z. Just be glad you didn't get hurt and that the car isn't damaged any worse than it is.
Like others have said no reason to turn the VDC off on the street. Save that for a track/autocross where you have some margin for error. Also as Fusz said a good performance driving course is a great way to learn how to handle a high performance car. It also makes driving one more fun too.
