What do you mean having problems? Any decent shop should have no troubles matching it for you. If you can't find a shop, try posting in a regional thread for some recommendations.

the two shops both said that they dont have the colors to properly match the code, but they are going to put down spray and try. however i want a perfect match.

I would check with the local dealership to see who does their paint work. They most likely will know what colors Nissan uses.

Paint matching isn't as easy as you guys think. Most of the re-sprays I see don't match and I can usually tell a re-sprayed panel from 10 feet away.

There are lots of variables in matching paint. You might have the proper code but that's just the start. There are a handful of major paint manufacturers and each may have several variations on 1 code. My Spa Yellow S2000 had like 5 variations from Glasurit alone. It's going to be trial and error if you want it almost perfect and most shops aren't willing to do it because it is time consuming and cost prohibitive on small parts.

40th Paint code: KAV

Have your shop contact nissan the paint code is KAV. i have heard of shops being able to order the paint from nissan only because it was specially made paint color for the car. pain in the *** but adds to its rarity.

I recommend Cavallo Autobody in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately I had a run in with a deer 2 weeks after I got the car. They were able to match the paint.

Nissan doesn't make paint. You may never know which one of the five major suppliers they used.

Find a shop that sprays waterborne paint. Waterborne sprays metallic paint more evenly than solvent based and waterborne is pretty much only offered as tier 1 line of paint.
