Blacked out tail lights?

Hey guys so I know that there are many threads about blacking or
"smoking" out our tail lights but as we all know the 40th is a bit different when it comes to doing exterior aesthetic mods because of its unique color.
I am debating to smoke out my tail lights using the VHT night shades, I have done this on previous cars so I am confident that I will have no issues with it,
and I plan on going with a light smoke nothing too dark...

With that being said I need opinions..
I have seen many variations of the tail light black out for the Z.
So I made a poll so people could vote on what looks best ON THE 40TH and hopefully I can receive some pictures and/or feedback on if I should do it or not.

The options are:
Smoke out the full tail light
Smoke out only the silver portion and leave the red untouched
Smoke out only the red portion and leave the silver untouched
Don't smoke the tail lights at all.

Thanks of viewing :tiphat:

I just did this a few weeks ago.

Obviously from that you can see what option I picked.

2 lighter coats leaving the reverse lights untouched.

They look good! I just wanted them to be a litte bit darker.. They look a little too close to stock to me right now don't know why. That was only 2 light coats you say? Do you recommend removing the tail lights? I've done both in the past, just wondering what's easier on the Z.

Proper way, tint smoke the white area only from inside out.

Used the same tint...
