Anyone in Florida Know how to match 40th paint?
Had my rear bumpers painted because I knocked the car in neutral and it rolled into the garage door as it opened. I had someone locally in Polk County paint it and they gave up and refunded my money because they couldn't get it to match. Any ideas?

My body shop ordered it for my front bumper. Perfect match. they charged me 175$ for a quart. They didn't try to match it they just told me they would order it from nissan (i guess?)

Just thought I'd share this if anyone ever needs paint for the 40th. I went to four different body shops and got four different color panels sprayed. Each company sprayed a different brand paint:
PPG Standox Sherman Williams Not sure of the other name brand The Standox brand was a perfect match color wise based on the KAV paint code. They did have to take a picture of the paint on the car to make a few minor adjustments to lighten the paint to match. None of the other brands were even in the right ballpark. |
mine is painted ppg to. My guy said its some special pearl and some other stuff. My car isnt perfect but id really have to show you the difference personally. youll never pick it out unless your someone really looking for it

I am actually getting my door handles color matched today. Glad I found this thread, I told them to use the Standbox brand. Thanks.
