What I would do if I were in your shoes, I'd sand it and see if there are any holes. If there's not, then I'd prime it to make it

If there's not, then I'd prime it to make it even and then purchase and install an NRG CF roof cap as a temporary solution w/o spending too much. And when you are ready to paint, you can do it before you sell the car or do it when you can then sell the CF roof cap.
