Well, since I mentioned what I was planning with the paint I thought I would show you the final product. I bought the 12 oz. aerosol can and used it to paint a metal picture frame. While I was at it I purchased a plastic frame cover that has a bronze shade to it.
Before:  After:  The glare in the photo makes the color of the car look lighter than the frame but it is much closer in real life. Same with the plate cover, the glare is only in the photo. It's already getting admiring looks!
