Canadian 40th owners!

Hey guys just wondering if any others out there are ordering plaques from DarkPath

and if so what are you getting yours to say in place of the build number?(Canadian build numbers are unavailable

)

I was thinking having that line say......

Canadian Edition

or something like that! lol anyway let me know what you think and other ideas you guys have!

SIDE NOTE
I have also been making a list trying to get the build numbers associated with the last 4 digits of vin! If you haven't posted yet and would like to help please do! I will share my list later once I have more numbers from people! So far I have collected and will continue to collect! (If you guys will share!) the build numbers and the last 4 digits of vin! Whether you are from USA or Canada please feel free to share!

This list is showing me which cars have been built in sequence and when they had breaks in order and built something else in between! either that or the build numbers are total BULL SH!T!!!!

So please help my search by either adding your last 4 digits or your build if you haven't yet! Even if you just post them here I can forward it onto the other thread and continue my list!

Come on guys start giving the last 4 of your vin! If your lucky I might even be able to tell ur build number based on the patterns showing in my list!

According to Nissan and current forum owners the Vin doesn't have a code which would indicate the build date...

additionally while the build date given may be BS, there hasn't been a single overlap or duplicate number that I have heard of and it seems strange that the Nissan rep everyone used took weeks to months to just come up with fake nums.

Like everyone else I think it is incredibly stupid that Nissan advertised these cars by rarity yet never numbered them... the Nismos which are going on their 4th year in the 370 all have plaques.

To be honest, though I enjoy the rarity of the 40th, build date, build number and plaques don't matter to me.

I'm not saying they are lying. Just make my own list of the last 4 vin #. So far there is some sequence to some of they numbers there is already forum members with numbers which are lining up in order!

Still can't believe this information is not available... I would begin an relentless campaign calling Nissan customer affairs - if it has a vin number then at the very least they know its build date. How could they not? Was their some sort of shed fire where they keep Canadian owner's records Only?

If calling Staci at the following number Nissan Consumer Affairs Ph. 1-800-647-7261 ext. 458129 doesn't work - then I would begin a writing inquiry campaign.

You can believe they are tracking data on the VIN #s due to the fact that they are under warranty and their are laws in place that they track such things for safety reports to the boards.. (trend analysis - consumer safety). As one of the first owners to obtain my information in the states it began as a tedium of demands and contiunally moving to the next higher authority - till some one stepped up to the plate and took the task on. I would suggest the same for the Canadian models.

Really unfortuante we can't get our build numbers...the 100 or 120 that made it to Canada come from that original 1000 for North America?

I guess something with the vin might work....I think my Nav gives it away that its Canadian lol

From what I was told by the original person, heidi when she was helping me out. Was that the 1000 made with build numbers were for north america! Ya I know Canada is in NA!....... But to her that ment that the 1000 she had the info on where only in the states (there version of North America, you know cause Porto Rico is more NA then Canada lol!)

I will try Nissan Canada again to see what they say! Maybe even if they could give the span of vins that were sent to Canada to see if it actually was 120! Then they could always be numbered in accordance to build!

Also the only info Nissan Canada could give me from our 40ths were built in February 2010! (I posted this ages ago)

I am getting the feeling that you are very interested in having build badges for your 40ths - perhaps a sample version of what we can do is in order... You mentioned different things like Canadian Edition... I thought perhaps "Assembled for Canada / North America" might suit well - and then inclusion of the Vin #.

This particular sample looks Awesome atop the radiator housing - as the first thing you see when looking into the engine bay at a show.

This sample is just a suggestion, provided so you might work from it mentally as to determining your ultimate goals. Feel free to PM me an suggestions that you would like to see images of and we'll work with you to make exactly what you want.

Remember - this sample is merely a photoshop mock-up spacing and such will be perfect at time of engraving...
