Default Anyone get touch up paint for their 40th yet?

Hey guys,

So it was only when I brought my car home that I realized there was a 3" yellow line on the front bumper near the front bottom.

I call up a local Nissan Dealer (the one I bought it from is 45 mins away) to see if they have the touch up paint. When the parts guy asks me what color I say "Quartz" and he's like..."what do you mean? thats not a color"

So I'm like, its for the 40th Anniversary and he's like..."huh?" so I give him my VIN and he's like, "oh, you're right, special color, I have to order it from Toronto"

So I go pick it up today, but the stick just says "grey" on it. I'll test it somewhere first but just curious if anyone has the touch up stick and what color it says?

Am I the only one that got the touch up paint with the car? Mine was sitting right inside the glove compartment when I bought it new.

Lucky bastard, maybe because I bought mine with a few clicks on it.

but ya, I'm pretty sure they gave me the wrong one even though I gave them my VIN, but again...Parts guy seems surprised something like a 40th existed

There's some other companies that make our colour. I have used dr.colorchip on other vehicles before and been happy. They say they have our paint code available (KAV) with their product. I will be getting it for my Z in the future but I'm lucky so far to have little to no major marks on it yet.....

Me too. Surprised this isn't typical of every new car purchase.

A little late to the thread, but if the scratch is yellow that's a rub off of something else.
Did you try getting that off first and see if the scratch is truly through your clear?

yeah i am thinking if you apply the touch up paint, it could make it look worse because it's 3" and not just a small chip.

Actually no, I haven't tried yet...I should, good point.

I think its the yellow from the lift in the Nissan garage, thats actually where I first saw the car as it came from storage and they were cleaning it up for delivery to me.

I've been trying to get touch up paint from my dealer when I bought the car back in July...I hate you, Lokey Nissan!
