370z @ dealer with rusted rotors

I am thinking about purchasing a 40th anniversary 370z. The dealer near me has one but the 4 rotors are rusted. I read that driving should get rid of it, but I just wanted to throw it out there to see if I should be more concerned.

Go for a test drive and when you will come back, it'll be gone.

A sign it's not being driven.

Mine get rusty right after I wash my car.

Ya its normal you'll notice after you buy it when you go out to drive it in the morning there will be a few rust spots but once you drive it a bit they will go away.

Never seen my rotors shinier than after a good spirited drive! It makes sense, but it is still amazing how clean they are after that.

Mine were really shiny after I had them resurfaced.

:iagree:.................but then you have to always be sure to clean your rims to when you wash! Nothing worse then seeing "that car" driving around town, with brake dust all over the wheels.

Ask if they switch the rotors out for miata rotors. They never rust.

It's normal when the car sits a while. Take a test drive and then look at the rotors, it will be gone

bsramzy 07-28-2010 03:53 PM

after any kind of storm the water will sit there.
