Production Number Plaques!
 

As some if not most of you know, the 40th's in uk and europe have the production number on their plaque between the seats so WTF! why don't we have one??

I say we get as many people off the forums to sign a online petition for a plaque! This car is going to be a classic and we to deserve to have a small piece to show which number it is! Seeing how there's only 1000.........


Any opinions or other ideas would be great, I know we can make this happen though so lets try asap! I will be asking Heidi if we can make it happen when she returns my call from today!

Classic? Ummmm probably won't happen, but I would still like a plaque. Yeah I just talked to Heidi and asked for my production number. She said she will let me know next week. I also asked for the plaque and she said she will investigate into what can happen. That sounds like only if enough people complain about it then Nissan will hand out plaques. Come on everyone! Call Heidi at Nissan North America Consumer Affairs at (800) 647-7261 Ext. 41462 and ask for build number AND plaque.

I was just posting this in the other thread. How about making this into a poll for people that want a plaque.
And then show her this thread. I believe Heidi won't be very happy with 100 people calling her.
I'm sure she has other work she needs to do as well.. :)

It would be cool to get one from Nissan...but if that doesn't pan out what about some custom ones that also have the build date etc... ?

I'd don't own a 40th, but I do feel that you guys should be entitled to a plaque with the production number, and date of production on it. Even the Nismos have that don't they?

I am all for a plaque also. My car number is 501889 but I have no idea what my build numder of the 1,000 is.

I called and she said that mine is #313, after leaving message on answering machine they called me back in about 8 to 9 days later.

I got my 40th May 29, VIN 502000. Last one?

Maybe, maybe not you are the 2000th Z built for Model Year 2010 though.

I have tried to call Heidi and have left two messages. She has never returned my call. I would really like to know the build number of my car. Last 6 of vin are 502539. Does anyone else know?

My vin is 502217 and my build number is 522 (verified by Nissan) but the numbers in the vin do not reveal the build number. If you look on the social group for 40ths else where on this site you will find the phone number to heidi at Nissan - give her your vin and she'll get back to you with the build number.

This I don't under stand they number the nismos, they numbered the GTR's, they even numbered the 35th anniversary 350's (which are far harder to tell apart seeing how there is 3 colour options available)

It does seem like an oversight - I heard about the plaques on the 35ths as well.

IIRC, Nissan didn't put a ceiling on the production numbers of the 35th (I could be wrong). That would make it even a stranger omission.

TRUST ME I KNOW, it drives me crazy cause I love nissan Z's and have fallowed the Z ever since I got my car passion as a teenager!
