It's the dealership closest to me and I wouldn't buy a cup of coffee from them. They wouldn't honor the price we had agreed to because they hadn't realized I'd be paying cash instead of financing. (They hadn't asked me the question and I hadn't volunteered the information.) They gave me the "We can't let a 2010 go at that price, but we've got a 2009 that we can deal on" routine while we were filling out the paperwork. I bought somewhere else.
Maybe somebody will get a great deal, but I'll be surprised if somebody walks out of that dealership with that car at that price. |

I'm not saying that it's illegal. I'm saying it's not ethical and I'm also saying that if I were the owner of the dealership, that I would have honored the price, retrained my employees, and been content with the knowledge that you will get all of my service work for the next five to seven years. They thought they could switch me to a higher priced car, when in reality all they did was lose all my service work and end up with somebody who is perfectly happy to tell the story to everybody they meet. How is that good business? |

I'm not sure why you think I would be pissed about not knowing a rate or a payment when there wasn't one. |

If a dealer did that to me I would threaten to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That usually gets their attention. I've had to do that in the past when a dealer agreed to refund me a credit card fee since I would be installing my own aftermarket radio instead of letting them replace the defective one they had on the car. The salesmen basically refused the refund a few days after purchase because he said he never agreed on paper to do that. Needless to say after I filed a complaint and once management got wind of it, he drove 50 miles to my house to hand-deliver a money order.

Went to a local dealer today just to check out the 40th Z! I still hadn't seen one in person and fell in love instantly! I got offered $37,000 + ttl---which seems to be an OK deal from what I have seen posted!
Thing is, I was trying to do the smart thing and wait out my lease (I have a year left on an Altima coupe 2.5s) so I don't take a deep plunge! Dealer told me he is going to look into it and try to get me out of my lease scott-free, I doubt he can, but it will be worth seeing what he could do! I absolutely loved the interior! The red was perfect, I was expecting a much "louder" color, but its quite classy! I was debating the roadster too, but honestly I want to keep this car for a while and have it be a garage queen! The fact that there were only 1000 made makes it more attractive to me to hold onto for a long time! So we'll see what happens! I am still 50/50 at this point with either getting out of my lease or waiting it out! |

I'm a new 40th Z owner and to this site. I love the car and this site. I bought mine end of June in SoCal. $35k which included the destination charge. There were two dealerships with 7 in inventory. So I called them both and kept bidding them lower until one of them took the offer. It was almost like I stole this car!
