No one can deny that corvettes are very fast cars. But no one can deny they are built like crap too. Over here the cheapest base vette has an msrp of about 67k. That's more than a fully loaded 335i and actually pretty close to the M3 price. Pretty inexcusable to charge so much money while offering such a poor quality fit and finish. Nissan updated the interior significantly for the 370z even as its price dropped relative to the old car. Couldn't chevy at least put some effort into improving the vette build quality?

I know I know, we just like giving you a hard time.
As far as build quality in the chebbies goes... the are actually well built, it's just the choice of materials and overall design of the interior. It LOOKS like a $50k car from the outside and by all means performs and drives like one, but it's like the designers just gave up on coming up with something nice for the cockpit.
I suspect, though, that whenever the 'Vette gets its next refresh the new cockpit is going to be nice. The newer GM vehicles are getting pretty nice now on the inside (ever sat in one of the new Buicks?), so I think the Corvette will get a much needed makeover on the interior.
