Hey guys, I need your opinion on injector uprgrades... I'm planning to raise my rpm rev limit to 8000 rpm and some dude at my local track keeps telling me that I have to get a larger cc fuel injector for the job. I have already installed better pistons, crankshaft, con rods, new valves and springs, but I don't know about fuel injectors... I'm not very knowledgeable in fuel systems, but I know that larger injectors are normally needed for forced induction and high horsepower applications where more fuel in needed at a given time. Someone told me you could divide the cc of the fuel injector by 5 and multiply that number by the number of injectors to show how much horsepower it can handle, but what do I know. If I get the injectors, I'm only planning to go around 440 cc for injectors from GTM and I might get fuel rails, but I don't think it's necessary. In theory, shouldn't 370 cc injectors handle like 450 hp and I'm not doing forced induction or anything like that. I just want to know if this enlarging fuel injector is necessary for raising the rev limit....Thanks
P.S.: Feel free to laugh at the stupid things I've written through my tiny knowledge of fuel injectors. There probably is something that I've written that sounds completely wrong, but hey I don't know much...
