tuning price?
So im going to be finishing my nitrous set up in the spring. Once set up i need to get tuned. I talked to a guy at a local shop that has COBB. He said its going to cost $650(cdn) to dyno tune my car (2.5hrs) and another $50 to install a O2 bung and wideband sensor since they hate using the sniffer. Anyone think thats abit to much? Like all we r talking about is taking 2* of timing off and slightly adjusting my afr, not that hard.
When i got my Cobalt SS Supercharged tune, it took alot of time...reason being we were tuning a FI car from stock to smaller pulley and from i think 30lb injectors to 60lb injectors. And my mechanic never tuned a cobalt...it took 30+ pulls on the dyno...7hours. It would have cost me about $1500 but he did it for free since he never tuned a cobalt before.
But yea, for 650 i think i should just buy the COBB AP myself and get my friend who tunes cars to teach me how to do it, obviously if im learning how to tune the car i wont be tuning for the nitrous right away. What do you guys think?
