Otherwise they are adequate and placed well enough to pull in outside cooler air form the front frame ductas. Most of the time aftermarket "cold air intakes" increase the volume of air being brought into the engine relating to increased diameter not so much the Inlet air temps in cases where the stock unit was designed well.
