Hello fellow forum members. I would have posted up a pic of the alignment sheet the shop provided but I do not have it with me at the moment (will post up later if anyone's interested).
After eating through the inner shoulder areas of 3 sets of rear tires. I finally sobered up and set up an alignment appt with Goodyear Tire & Auto in my area. My alignment originally was not TOO badly out of spec but the toe was out on all 4 corners and camber was excessive on the passenger side rear wheel. Want to note that I haven't had any issues with front tire wear. My main focus was getting them to dial in the toe angles on the rear/front and correct the -2.5 degrees of rear camber on the passenger side rear tire.....and they did.
My main concern is that after spending $112 on the alignment the shop could only bring my rear camber in to -2.1 on both sides and the toe is slightly positive(toe in) at all 4 corners but within factory specs.
I called the shop back today and received the ole "your rear stock suspension is maxed out and that's the most we could do to correct it) keep in mind my driver side camber was already at -2.1 prior to getting it aligned. I feel as if they just got the sides to match up and called it a day. I'm aware that out of spec toe will kill tires fast (since they've gotten that within spec) what do you guys think about the camber ?
-2.1 doesn't seem excessive and just within the factory spec but will it have negative affects on the 285 Pilot Sport A/S that I just recently installed or should I not worry about it. I hear negative camber to a certain degree will help with turn in traction and high speed cornering stability (Lemons to lemonade)
