Great diagnostic idea. It could also be the connector itself. The female ends could be too loose. I can't remember if the connector is female or the part where it plugs into the headlamp

As OP was reassembling everything the connection could have become compromised. Once you try the other connector for the headlight that you're having an issue with, move it around a bit and the connector itself.
