3. Debt – Increase the debt level to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.
4. Gun control – Remove the ability to defend themselves from government. That way you are able to create a police state.
5. Welfare – Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.
6. Education – Take control of what people read and listen to and take control or what children learn in school.
7. Religion – Remove belief in God from the government and schools because the people need to believe in only the government knowing what is best for the people.
8. Class warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class.

Works equally well for creating a fascist state as well, just tweek #7 religion to say create or pervert an existing religion to justify, glorify, and idealize/deification of the great leader and movement.
Like I said on my last post /\.
Humans are really bad at self determination and having individual liberty. Most are too short sighted and selfish to handle it and there is definitely a genetic predisposition for humans to want a strong leader who tells them what to think, how to act etc. that can manifest politically as either socialism or fascism.
Functionally for the majority of people, there’s not much difference between the two, in either system your ability to improve your station relies on working for and supporting the ruling class/political party.
I’m really worried our grand experiment in representative self governance has run its course.
Both sides won’t work together, both sides won’t compromise, both sides are ideologically motivated to the point of illogical religious fervor. Both sides view the other side or anyone who questions them as the enemy and as “evil”. All of this is very dangerous.
