It depends on the model. I'm shopping around (wifey has a Kia), and they will ask for the VIN number of the Kia/Hyundai. For the vehicles that has a push-start button, it has an immobilizer, and as long as it does, they are insuring them. If the vehicle has a traditional key that has to be put into the ignition and turn-start, then they either won't insure them or will charge a much higher premium.
