As far as I can tell, the mirror is aligned with the center of the window.
All that said, I'm not sure this is the best look for a Ford Falcon. The window is angled sharply back to create a fastback appearance.

Thanks so much for such a detailed description.
It's larger than I thought.
This gives me a perfect starting point. I plan to vinyl-cut a rear block-out mask so I can proto-type using my current vinyl top from in the car for aesthetics and visibility and out of car for aesthetics. I'll start with 36x10 opening and add overserts or cut larger cutouts till I get it right enough. Then I figure I will order a solid rear back-panel top, get it installed, check the fold points and get a glass, or perhaps plexiglass-folder window and have the rear panel cut for the window and have the window glued.
Oh, and somewhere in the middle of all that I hope to get a dark maroon headliner installed under the ecto-skeleton.
Oh, and there are going to be vintage Falcon emblems attached to the c-pillar of the top and boot cover.
That's the initial plan. I've got an experienced top guy that seems to think he can pull all this off.
Wish me luck.
