7AT Downshift Rev Match (DRM) control
I've seen some discussion around SRM for 6MTs, but having trouble finding what the car does for throttle blips on the 7AT.
Nissan's revmatch control on the 7AT is a lot better than many cars I've driven from the era, though most newer automatics blip just as well and as accurately.
From my observations, it does seem like similar logic is used: Shift is started (down paddle in auto, gear position sensor in manual) > Target gear defined > Target RPM defined, and engine matches and holds target RPMs even as speed changes, until the shift is complete.
Is anyone savvy enough with the service manual or the car's control systems to give me some help on what to tap into, or what signals need to be sent to and from the ECU here from the TCM? Or where to look for this info?
The FSM talks of an engine speed control demand signal from TCM to ECU "under blipping control" on page 149 of the TM pdf. I'm at a wall here on how to actually figure out what it is though.
With HTG finally releasing closed loop DCT control, this is one of the hurdles I want to know how to overcome before kicking off the swap. Backup plan is a VR30 trans swap but...that's much less fun.
