6K Miles? Wow, I don't think I've ever gone that far between oil changes. The most has been 3k on the various sports cars I've owned.

On a non performance daily driver I could see that much time in-between changes. But on a performance car that see's high heat and high rpms pretty regularly while scootin about. I'd start getting paranoid about the oil starting to break down past 2500 "HARD" miles. High heat and high rpms are going to break an oils viscosity down much more quickly than a regular car I would think.

Appreciate the feed back though.
yeah 6k miles is a lot of miles, I was changing mine every 3k in the Z, but I also think climate plays a part in it too.. I would do frequent changes if the car is stored outside in michigan (etc) where its cold over being in florida where it doesnt get cold, where I would think one oil change a year (using a good quality motor oil) where you're putting on a handful of miles a year, I would think is fine.. just my .02
