it looks like they are using bluetooth connection between the tablet and the kenwood

and they also want you to buy:

i guess you could probalby do that with any double din headunit that access either USB input or bluetooth input tho.

I think workshop 12 got sick and tired of selling/supporting their own electronics kit when the double din solution requires a lot less from them business wise.
