Man, after researching FI (Forced Induction, e.g., Turbos, Superchargers), I found the wealth of acronyms confusing for my non-initiated brain! So, without any pre-judgment, here are some I <think> I know so far:
6MT - 6 speed manual transmission
7AT - 7 speed automatic transmission
A2A - Air To Air Intake System for superchargers
BP - "Boosted Performance" (vendor)
CAI - Cold Air Intake
CARB - California Air Resources Board (for those in CA, a 'clean air' govt agency)
CBE - Cat-Back Exhaust (Exhaust system AFTER the catalytic converter to the tailpipes)
CMC - Clutch Master Cylinder
CSC - Centrifugal SuperCharger or "Clutch Slave Cylinder"
DD - Daily Driver (versus perhaps 'Track' or 'Drag Race' purposes)
EH - Exhaust Headers
FI - Forced Induction (either Turbo or Supercharger) OR "Fast Intentions" (aftermarket exhaust and other products)
HFC - High Flow Catalytic Converter (Cats)
LSD - Limited Slip Differential (? - uncertain)
LTH - Long Tube Headers
NA - Naturally Aspirated (non-turbo or non-supercharger)
OEM - Original Equipment Manufacture
PSI - Pounds Square Inch (referring to "boost" pressure)
SC - Supercharger
ST - Single Turbo
TP - Test Pipes (No catalytic converter)
TT - Twin Turbo
VLSD - Viscous Limited Slip Differential
VQ37VHR - Nissan 370Z engine model
W2A - Water To Air Intake System for superchargers
WHP - Wheel Horsepower (measured on a dyno at the wheels, not the crankshaft)
Others?
