Lightbulb “Wear scar on VVEL actuator lobe”

First would like to say hello; this is my first posting on this forum so would like to thank all members who contribute too and assist on this forum.

Does anyone have an idea as to what may be causing this scar on my VVEL lobe pictures posted below. I originally observed the scaring and thought it was my camshaft and was relieved to realize that this part is apart of the VVEl system that sits atop the intake camshaft. I check my oil regularly and have been using Redline 5W30 for the past 5200 miles, the Z has 36000 miles on her and I’m wondering if this is just a manufacturing defect that is slowly becoming more visibly apparent or if something else could be going on ? The cam and valve train components all looked spotless otherwise in these images so some further insight is warranted. Also in rubbing my fingers along the scarring it is not identifiable and feels just as smooth as the rest of that particular piece.
