My friend told me there was no problem on running a higher capacity pump bc the fuel pressure regulator will always keep it 51ish PSI. But yesterday another friend told me This can cause other problems.

I do not have any issues whatsoever with the car, no CEL or symptoms that I can detect, but just to be sure:
Is this setup OK for my car? like, nothing will get damaged or have reduced performance? or is it better to get a OEM replacement?

I do plan on getting a tune in a future btw.

Thanks in advance.
Pressure at idle will be higher, but the closed loop fuel system can handle any compensations that will be needed.
