Default Bonnet warning light

Hopefully someone can help me, i need to clean the two pod filters that have been fitted to the cold air intake on my 370z and to do so I have to remove the front spoiler/clip to reach them, last time I did this i got the bonnet warning light coming on even though I had disconnected the battery, i had to go to a dealership to get it reset, is there a way of not triggering the light that i don't know about, thanks for all the help, cheers
