In the Cummins world we only had ARP2000's head studs to start. Folks would TQ them down, put the engine through a heat cycle, and then let the truck sit overnight. The next morning they would retorque again. If the nuts moved during the 2nd re-torque, they would do it again. Along came the ARP625's and folks did the same procedure. They never had the nuts move again during the 2nd torque session.
