We're going to try and avoid insurance if possible. Taking it to a high end body shop in the morning. I told him I could help out of he takes responsibility - I literally have a hood ready to install.
It could have been much worse. His hitch was huge. Missed the Z completely. He was angling to back into another lane so his back driver bumper got me. I have audio of his confession along with a witness present. And more pics later. I'm hopeful but cautious.

Damn, that’s terrible, at least you weren’t hurt. You have more faith in humanity than I do, I would have done police report/insurance claim route personally, that’s just too much damage to take on some stranger’s word they’ll do right by you.
Then again, I live in the hit and run capital of the world, so it would have had to have been an insurance claim. Course with hd steel bumpers on both our Jeeps, **** like this tends to go very poorly for the other guy.
