Engineering Explained did a good video on these more popular thinner 20 weight oils (0W is the cold weight and the second number is the hot viscosity) - I should show the dealership it XD... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKdh...eringExplained
I am now awaiting an email back from both Nissans info email and the service manager from the dealership to confirm of the correct oil to be using.
On Nissans website it still shows 5W-30 should be used.
Fingers crossed the dealership will offer something to switch to 5W-30...

From what I understand, most Nissan dealers no longer carry 5W30 oil in bulk. Some do not even have it in 1 litre bottles any more. They do not give a crap about what is required, they just use what they have readily available and is cost effective for them. They just assume that Z owners don’t know any better. This happens all the time. I’ll bet that over 90% of 370Z’s serviced at the dealer get 0W20 oil changes. It’s a disgrace. It’s one of the main reasons I do my own oil changes.
