it made sense that the grayish look disappeared due to the oily surface.... I assume that you are keeping the car outside now and please keep us informed with the dash condition. Hopefully it will continue to get better.

Sometimes the sheen increases but never enough to bother me while driving. Haven't been able to pinpoint the variables that affect the sheen factor tho.
