The vehicle had been well maintained and garaged. The mistake I made was pretending that driving the thing would be OK. It's designed more to be just looked at.

Joe's out of parts. Thanks. But yeah, I get the routine. Give some 3rd party vendor and mechanic (
assuming you can find one who is willing to touch it) thousands of dollars to fix another POS design flaw.

Yup, I already bent over and grabbed my ankles on that one.
The absurdity of that statement becomes apparent when you re-parse it. "A $1000 in aftermarket parts should be purchased and installed if you would like to ready your sports car to be driven up a decent sized hill."
