Did you buy your Z used? If so, sounds like someone may have had the glass out and didn't align the window properly. I'd take off the door panel and adjust the glass.

I had to do that after I put a new door lock actuator on my passenger side door. The glass just doesn't fit like a glove so to speak when putting it back in and tightening the front and rear sash bolts. Once you adjust the glass by putting it where it looks good, fully roll up the window and close the door slowly but not all the way so you don't break the glass. If the glass looks too high where it will hit the exterior trim, readjust the glass. Use the driver side window for reference. Once everything lines up like the driver side. Road test the car for any wind noise. If there is none, then pat yourself on the back.
