Blue collar, skilled trades jobs are hurting for people. Why? The last couple of generations of kids were told to go to college and get a degree that doesn't mean a thing. Gender Studies degree? Really? They don't want to get their hands dirty. They would rather play on the computer, then make something with their hands. How many people have degrees that can't get a job in the field of their studies? A lot. The local trades unions here have been putting ads out to attract people. A apprentice starting out, learning a skill gets paid $40,000 a yr.
