I did a thing over the weekend, finally got around to installing my Vlsd, Now i went with the sport package Vlsd because for my use it was plenty.
So, i searched and ended up finding a used unit about 1hr away from home, for $350. Also, i bought the whiteline polybushing kit to go along with it, and added a diff brace as well.
Uninstalling everything:
This took me about 2 hours to do, unbolted my exhaust, took the "A" shaped brace off and unbolt the driveshaft and axles and i had it out in know time.
Prep:
while i had everything out i decided to do a little preventive maintenance, by painted my exhaust flame proof black, and diff the dupli-color epoxy black worked like a charm! this took me a couple days to do, since weather wasnt on my side lol
Installing:
As far as the diff bushing that holds the stud that took me roughly 25min to take out and install, nothing a sawzall and muscle with a hint of a dead blow hammer couldnt fix popped right put. when it came to installing it, i used the grease pack it comes with, lined the bushing to the hole and wacked it a couple good times with the dead blow hammer and it worked like a charm.
For the 2 diff mounting bushing those were cake.
everything else was self explanatory had to put the exhaust back on. torqued everything down such as the axle mounting bolts, axle bolts, drive shaft bolts along with some blue loctite to be on the safeside. installed my diff brace and he is looking meannnn!!!
All in all wasnt a hard project id say 4 hours total maybe 5, that not including the prep work paint and such.
