Advice needed for differential install
Hey guys,
Just had my differential rebuilt with new 4.08 gears, seals and bearings on my track 370Z because of the loud whining/howling noise during acceleration most likely due to the overheating of the ring gears on the track without a diff cooler. Now I have everything installed with diff cooler but after a few nice QUIET track days, the noise came back! (Diff cooler has been working fine cooling the temp down)
Now I’ve been told another rebuild is necessary with all new gears and parts again as a proper backlash or other adjustments will be needed for a track abuse diff. Can anyone advice why the noise came back and do I really need to get new gears seals and bearings again ?
Thanks
